Aims & Objectives

Protsahan, which means encouragement in Sanskrit, was founded in 2003 to advance and promote education and technical skills training for the benefit of all persons, particularly women and girls, irrespective of religion, caste, class or community. In 2007, the trust launched the project of Kamalini Vocational Training Centre in some rented rooms in Shahpur Jat.

Kamalini -a symbol of the women that we serve - encourages needy women to gain the skills and confidence they need to better support themselves and their families. The cheerful and open atmosphere welcomes our beneficiaries and the volunteers who help in the training. Volunteers also help design and market products the students make to turn their skills in to earning.

Skills enhancement for domestic workers is one of Kamalini's training priorities.  To raise the professional standards and contribute to personal development of domestic workers contributes to the home life of all.  Our training improves expertise in hygiene, interpersonal skills, creativity and quality of work. Volunteers help teach international and local cuisine.

In 2010, Protsahan signed an agreement with registered society Educational & Development Initiatives to develop a new campus for Kamalini Vocational Training Centre in Haryana. This collaboration supports the Protsahan aim to “train the trainers” and foster leadership catalysts: be they educators, parents, and leaders of social development projects to have a wider impact.
