About Us
Protsahan Charitable Trust was established in the year 2003 in order to take care of the need for skill formation and personal formation of women in our society
Who we are
Since its inception Protsahan, which means encouragement in Sanskrit, has been promoting educational, cultural and technical skills training for the benefit of all persons, particularly women and girls, irrespective of religion, caste, class or community.
Based out of Delhi, it currently carries out these activities from 2 main centres; the Kamalini Vocational Training Centre & Vatsalya Study Centre. However, the Trust seeks to expand its scope to many more locations across the country through social development initiatives that are relevant to each locality
Protsahan targets 4 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals published by the United Nations, namely Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, Decent Work and Economic Growth and Good Health and Well-being.
Vision
The vision of Protsahan is the development of women of all walks of life, empowering them to be catalysts for the development of families and society
Mission
The mission is to empower women through formation, both technical and human formation, according to their needs in life. This can be done through courses, workshops, counselling etc.
Values
To impart formation and training in a friendly and open atmosphere that is key to building trust and confidence.
To always aim at the highest quality training, keeping in mind the needs of the people.
To have personal one on one interaction with the beneficiaries so that a close human relationship is maintained throughout.
Projects
Protsahan’s projects, Kamalini and Vatsalya, empower women with practical skills, confidence, and life guidance. Each centre provides a welcoming space for learning, growth, and personal transformation.
KAMALINI CENTRE
Kamalini – the lotus being a symbol of the women who the project works with - encourages them to gain the skills and confidence that they need to better support themselves and their families. The cheerful and open atmosphere in the centre is very welcoming for the beneficiaries and volunteers who help in the training.
VATSALYA STUDY CENTRE
The overall objective of the of the activities and sessions held at the Vatsalya Study Centre is to equip and empower women from all kinds of backgrounds to face the daily challenges of life, including, professional, financial, social, family and personal. Such guidance will enable them to become better professionals, family members and citizens of the society.

Monica Rita de Souza
Founding Trustee
Graduated on business administration, Monica Rita De Souza is Founder and Managing Director of Domus products and services Pvt Ltd. With more than 30 years of experience in providing services in catering and Hospitality.Mind and heart of Protsahan Charitable Trust's since its inception Monica keeps conceptualizing the projects and encouraging the teams in frontline to deliver them according the it objectives.

Nikita Maria Joseph
Trustee
Nikita has done her Bachelors in Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. Since her graduation, she has been working in the field of Fashion, with a special focus on sustainability and social development, especially in the rural craft clusters of India. She is currently working as a Production Systems Design Manager at the clothing pret label 11.11/eleven eleven, New Delhi.
Aside from her professional work, she also enjoys learning skills that require hands on work, such as crochet, knitting and garment making

Naomi T Jose
Trustee
Naomi T Jose is an assistant professor in the department of English in Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.
She completed her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She did her Master's and Undergraduate from Delhi University. Previously, she taught at St Stephen's college. She has worked with other social justice organisations in the field of legal awareness.
Her interest lies in the field of education as a means of upliftment and formation. She believes that education should go beyond merely informing the individual but enabling them to access their own rights and live with dignity."
